Through Visible Action We Turn Concern Into Collective Strength.
Our Mission
We believe that what people see in their daily lives shapes what they believe is normal, acceptable, and inevitable. When harmful ideas go unchallenged in public, they can appear dominant — even when they are not.
Our mission is to create visible, hyper-local, and sustained public action that counters fear-based narratives while actively protecting our neighbors. This includes immigrant protection outreach — sharing know-your-rights information, connecting families to trusted resources, and building neighborhood networks that can respond quickly when communities are targeted.
Alongside this outreach, we strengthen mutual aid and mobilize our neighborhood for the critical election cycles ahead. By showing up consistently in shared public spaces, we replace intimidation with solidarity and misinformation with lived, visible truth.
Visibility is not symbolic. It is how we defend our neighbors, shape the public narrative, and protect our democracy — right where we live.
WHO WE ARE
We are neighbors and organizers in Forest Hills, New York, working together to make democratic values visible, active, and undeniable in everyday life. We believe that public silence is often mistaken for agreement — and that visible opposition interrupts that illusion.
Our work includes:
Public, peaceful actions that demonstrate broad support for immigrant dignity and safety
Mutual aid efforts that show what community care looks like in practice
Election-focused organizing that affirms participation, accountability, and truth
We collaborate with aligned organizations while remaining deeply rooted in the specific needs and rhythms of our neighborhood.
Why Visibility Matters
Authoritarian movements succeed not only through policy, but through perception — by projecting strength, inevitability, and silence from opponents. When resistance disappears from public view, fear fills the space.
Visible, local action changes the story. When neighbors see neighbors standing together, it:
Breaks the illusion that harmful ideas are widely accepted
Reassures targeted communities that they are not alone
Encourages others who agree but feel isolated to step forward
Presence creates permission. Consistency creates confidence. Community creates momentum.
